District VI News

Planning is now underway for the 2006 GSTA State Conference in Columbus, Georgia. If you are interested in volunteering to help with field trips, registration, or with pre-conference activities please contact me. I am working on finding more unique experiences to add to those field trips and socials we had last year. If anyone knows of any local organization that would like to donate items to our conference bags - your input would be appreciated.

Science News from our area:

1. Mead corporation has classroom handouts that you can access to use with a unit on forestry. They will also come out to speak to your class. Contact Ashley Smith at Mead Corporation, Phenix City.

2. The Coca-Cola Space Science Center will be doing some renovations - so look for some new activities from them.
