Welcome to the Georgia Science Teachers Association web site
As an organization we are committed to support excellent science teaching for the students of the state of Georgia. A major function of the organization is to host an annual conference each February , offered to all people involved with science education in the state.
In addition, we also support science education professionals through our Observation newsletter, The Science Teacher journal, District professional development opportunities, teacher and student awards, a voice at the legislature, and this web site. You will find parts of this site are available only to members of the GSTA and some are available to both members and non-members.
Please return often due to new updated materials and please use the resources available. All have been created for you by fellow science educators in the state. We seek your contribution to add to these resources as a science educator. Together, we can make Georgia a model for science education in the nation.

Constitutional amendments passed overwhelmingly. District
Directors may run for a second term of office should they choose to do
so. The office of secretary is a two-year term position.
