President:  Dr. Jeremy Peacock

Greetings Georgia teachers!  I am a Science Content School Improvement Specialist with Northeast Georgia RESA.  I previously worked as a high school biology teacher and science department chair. After first working as an environmental scientist, I have now worked in science education for more than 10 years. I earned my doctorate in science education from the University of Georgia and I remain involved in science education research, particularly with respect to instructional leadership and science education reforms.
Greetings Georgia teachers!  I was honored to be selected as the GSTA high school teacher of the year for 2011, and I am excited to continue my service on the GSTA Board of Directors.  My wife, who is also a science educator and GSTA's District IV Director, and I live in Athens and have a four-year old daughter.
