Supporting Excellent Science Teaching for Georgia

District 2 Director: Christina Curtis

It is my honor to serve as a District 2 Director.

I have been teaching for 14 years at the middle and high school level (2 years in a private high school setting, 12 years in Georgia public schools, and one year in outdoor education as a marine science intern/ instructor in the Florida Keys).   Before entering into the school system, I spent 12 years working in different industries with the intent to gain experience in each of the core academic areas (chemistry, bio/environmental science, and physics).

I am excited to look for new ways to help advance professional learning and to grow our science community.  If you are at the conference in Columbus, please stop by the Foundary at 4:30 on Valentine's Day to share your ideas on how we can grow our science community.  I would love to learn more about what you would like to see offered in our District.

I look forward to meeting you and working with you over the next year!
