My name is Donita Legoas. I have a Bachelors Degree from Indiana University and a Masters Degree from Lesley University. I am currently a middle school Earth science teacher at AR Johnson Health-Sciences and Engineering Magnet School in Augusta. I have been a Richmond County teacher since 2000 and have been teaching over 23 years in all. I am a Georgia Science Ambassador and a member of SECME STEM alliance and have presented at several local and national workshops. I also teach science workshops for teachers throughout my county. I have a twin sister who is my teaching partner in crime and workshop co-presenter. I have a great 23 year old son who graduated from Georgia Southern University and is a reporter for the Augusta Chronicle, and a fabulous 20 year-old nephew who is an engineering student at Georgia Southern. They are my best cheerleaders and workshop assistants on occasion. I am so proud to have the opportunity to represent Georgia science educators, and to serve as the Middle School Science Teacher Rep.
