  Registration includes membership dues for the next year.  Five dollars of your registration fee will be donated to the GSTA Foundation to support teacher mini grants and awards.  
  

  If you do not want part of your registration/dues to support the GSTA Foundation, email Zoe Evans, GSTA Registration Chair, zoe.oquinn.evans@gmail.com, to opt out of the GSTA Foundation donation.

  Refund Requests must be made to GSTA Treasurer no later than January 11th.

  Where does the policy that shapes your classroom come from? And what could happen if the people who know science teaching best were part of the conversation?

  Join the Empower Hub of GA-ESTEEM and GSTA for an introduction to advocacy designed for teachers who don't (yet) think of themselves as advocates. We'll trace where the policies affecting your classroom come from, explore what advocacy really looks like (it's not always lobbying), and share stories of teachers who spoke up and made a difference. You'll leave knowing who to talk to, how to start, and why your voice matters.

  Come as you are. No experience needed. We'll also give a brief overview of GA-ESTEEM and the Empower Hub, which are working to elevate science teachers by empowering them to share their own stories.
